MASSAGE THERAPY
Village Chiropractic also offers massage therapy in conjunction with our chiropractic therapeutic service. Therapeutic massage is an excellent form of treatment for many neuromuscular problems and helps to alleviate muscular spasm and pain related to excessively tight muscles and joint immobilities. Deep massage therapy also improves blood circulation, lymphatic circulation, increases breathing capacity and improves peripheral nerve functions. These therapeutic effects of massage therapy could be of benefit to the worker or athlete who is continuously required to use large muscle groups and as a result will frequently encounter hypertonic muscles. By alleviating these neuromuscular conditions the individual is also better able to perform their work or athletic skill more effectively and with greater precision, without having excessively tight musculature which results in greater freedom of movement and more efficient muscle and joint functions. However, it is important to ensure that the therapy is provided by a properly trained massage therapist. The therapist should have graduated from an accredited college of massage therapy and be registered with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario, which is the regulatory body governing the practice of therapeutic massage. <<TO BOOK AN APPOINTMENT NOW CLICK HERE >>
